Sam Gibson — aka Sam the Trap Man — was sent into Te Urewera at 12 to learn about trapping and came away with solid trapping skills, but also a deeper understanding of the forest, and what our responsibility is to it, which he’s carried through his life.
A conservationist, hunter, author and social media sensation, Sam believes trapping is one of our greatest tools — not just for protecting wildlife, but for connecting people to the environment.
Come and hear some inspirational yarns from Sam about the forest, trapping, and life.
