SUMMARY:MCC BIG April Old Man's Beard weeding event
DESCRIPTION:The Pest Management Group invites you to the fourth BIG Motueka Valley April Community Weeding Bee to clear Old Man’s Beard vines from native vines from a site near Haycocks Bush. This is an iconic site next to the Motueka River and we need your help to restore it! \nMCC are continuing their fight against Old Mans’ Beard which is taking over in the Motueka Valley & needs to be stopped! This is all the more urgent as there was a huge flowering this year leaving many seeds ready to fly.\n\n\n\n\nLocals and volunteers will be picking up their secateurs & bottles of gel weedkiller to continue their work. All tools & a picnic lunch will be provided. \n\nWhere: 2094 Motueka River West Bank Road\nWhen: Sunday 13th April\, 9.30am – 1pm \n\nThere will be local experts present to offer weed killing information & training on Old Mans Beard & other common plant pests plus information on pest animal trapping with updates on baits to use\, trapping strategy & getting registered with TrapNZ.\n\nCome and join the MCC in making a difference to our taonga species and our beautiful awa – be a part of the change you wish to see!
