SUMMARY:Innovative farming solutions for people\, place and planet
DESCRIPTION:This forum is open to all but is targeted at farmers and rural land managers wanting to know how to put more money in their back pockets while looking after their land for future generations.\nThe forum is structured around a number of topics and there will be a mix of presentations\, trade stands\, and Q&A sessions. Presenters are a mix of government organisations\, businesses offering innovative solutions\, and farmers who’ve implemented some of these solutions on their farms. DESCRIPTION:A pic from the BOMB squad’s March working bee\nWhen:       Saturday 5th April\, 9:30am – 11:30am \nWhere:      Meet at meet at Blue Gum corner \nOur next Brooklyn Old Man’s Beard working bee is scheduled for this Saturday.  People are concerned at the way OMB is steadily spreading around the Blue Gum corner area and we’re going to focus on this area until we’ve brought it under control.\n\n\nAs usual we’ll gather for a cup of tea/coffee and a spot of home baking at 11:30am.  Bring your own drinks and I’ll bring something tasty to share! \n\n\nWe have gloves\, secateurs\, pruning saws and poison for everyone to use. \n\n\nIf you have loppers and/or your own tools and prefer to use them\, please do. \n\n\nLooking forward to seeing you\, the more the merrier!! \n\n\n  \n

SUMMARY:Tasman Bay Guardians FUN-draising event!
DESCRIPTION:Come to the Playhouse Theatre on February 20th from 6.30pm until 11pm to hear some awesome DJ’s and support the ongoing work of Tasman Bay Guardians in our catchment. The event is $30. MCC would like to encourage catchment residents to attend these. Here’s TDC’s website link –  https://www.tasman.govt.nz/my-council/about-us/media-centre/news-and-notices/tasmans-rivercare-meetings-return-for-2024/ :  \nTasman District Council is restarting its annual Rivercare meetings throughout the District.   \nAll interested members of the public are invited to attend their local meeting to hear information about river works in the past year\, discuss river management issues in your area\, and help plan for work to be done in 2025.   \nTopics will include flood protection\, erosion control\, and maintenance of the riparian margin which may be significant to the area you live.   \nIf you are planning to attend one of these meetings and have a specific question or topic you would like discussed\, please send an email to rivercare@tasman.govt.nz noting the question and issue of interest and the meeting you plan to attend.
