DESCRIPTION:Following community requests from MCC’s Flood Risk Workshop in May\, we’re heading out to Hinetai Hops in the Motueka Valley for a practical look at willows in action. \nDean Palmer will share how willows protected his hop farm in last year’s floods — and how giving the river more room has been part of his approach. Appletons Nursery and Tasman District Council will cover propagation\, species selection and right tree\, right place principles.
