Flood recovery support

There is still support out there available for those with ongoing needs in terms of flood recovery. Some support options include:

Ministry of Primary Industries summary of support – This helpful document from Ministry for Primary Industries outlines support available for people affected by the floods including wellbeing support, financial support, accommodation, caring for animals and much more. 

Here are some key support avenues available: 

Rural Support Trust assistance – The Rural Support Trust may be able to assist. Call them on 0800 787 254.

Student Volunteer Army support – If you’re a resident needing assistance please register with SVA here. SVA prioritises support for households and small landholders who may not qualify for Rural Support assistance.

Tasman Bay Guardians is helping those recover plantings and other environmental areas affected by the floods. Contact Rosalie:  rosalie@mountaintosea.org.nz

Tasman District Council support:

  • Navigators support people to access the right services, at the right time, from the different recovery support agencies. They can help get people back on their feet after the floods.
