Back in 2023, we asked the Motueka community what mattered most to them — the challenges they saw, the support they needed, and the values they hold for our catchment. That feedback laid the foundation for the Motueka Catchment Collective’s work and has directly shaped the content of the Motueka Community Catchment Plan.
Now, after months of workshops, expert advice, and collaboration with our Steering Group and Thematic groups, the draft plan is ready — and it’s built on the voices and aspirations of our community.
🌿 Now we’re asking for something a little different.
To make sure this plan doesn’t just sound technical — but truly reflects the heart of our community — we’d love to include your actual words in the final document.
This short survey (just five questions!) asks:
- What you value about our rivers, bush, wetlands, estuaries, and coast
- What matters to you about the people, communities, and mana whenua of the catchment
